Eyebrows

Before

  • Avoid working out on the same day as your procedure.

  • No alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before your procedure. This will prevent excessive bleeding or oozing and minimize swelling during the procedure.

  • Avoid Fish Oil, Niacin, Vitamin E, "Hair, Skin, Nail" supplements, and/or Ibuprofen, 24 hours before your procedure. All these can cause blood thinning and heavy bleeding.

  • It is much better to wait until you are in good health. If you know you're going to be taking antibiotics, we recommend waiting at least 1 week after taking the dose of medication before getting your tattoo, and never attempt to get a tattoo while sick if the risk of spreading infection is high.

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning 1 week before your procedure.

  • No facials or chemical peels a week before your procedure.

  • No brow waxing, tinting, and electrolysis one week before your procedure.

  • If possible, exfoliate the brow area a week before your procedure.

  • Avoid using Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks before your procedure.

  • No Latisse on the brow area 3 weeks before and after your procedure.

  • Avoid Glycolics, Chemical Peels, and Retin-A 4 weeks before your procedure.

  • If you use Botox, it should be performed 8 weeks before your scheduled procedure.

  • If you've had any cosmetic surgical procedures done on the face area, please wait 2-3 months to fully heal before the eyebrow tattoo procedure.

  • Avoid using any acne products or Accutane for 1 year.

After

  • After the procedure, blot your brows every hour on the first day of your appointment and keep them dry for 24 hrs.

  • After 24 hrs gently wash your brows with Cetaphil cleanser, morning and night with lukewarm water to get rid of blood or plasma.

  • Avoid the gym or sweating for 3 - 5 days following the procedure.

  • Avoid direct sun for 7-10 days following the procedure.

  • No eyebrow makeup on tattooed brows until fully healed.

  • You may shower normally but avoid hot steaming water directly onto your face. Submerging your brows with water can cause premature scabbing and leaching of ink out of your skin.

  • After washing your face or showering, gently pat your brows dry to remove any moisture with a clean cotton pad or tissue paper instead of using your body towels.

  • Apply a rice-sized amount of ointment twice daily for 6-8 days, morning and night.

Please note: Your procedures will appear darker and bolder due to a natural process of scabbing and healing for the first week. It is usual for all permanent makeup procedures.

Eyeliner

Before

  • Avoid working out on the same day of your procedure.

  • No Botox near your eyes 4 weeks before your appointment.

  • Do not tan or have a sunburned face, or you will be required to reschedule.

  • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, or Ibuprofen 24 hours before the procedure.

  • No steroid shots 30 days before the procedure.

  • No alcohol or caffeine on the day of the procedure, this will minimize any oozing or swelling after the procedure.

  • In case you have lash extensions, please remove them 7 days prior to the procedure.

  • Avoid heavy sweating for the following 10 days to avoid the risk of infection.

Lips

Before

  • If you EVER had cold sores, shingles, or Herpes simplex, it is very important that you are pre-treated with an antiviral. this prescription can be requested from your physician.

  • For your safety, we recommend you to take an over the counter antiviral -Valtrex or Zovirax- 1 day before, and 3 tablets after your lips procedure, to strengthen your immune system and avoid an episode of herpes or cold- sore (please consult with your doctor prior to taking these).

  • Please moisturize your lips 5 days before your procedure with Aquaphor, Vitamin E oil, or moisturizing lip balm.
It is very important not to come to your appointment with dry or chapped lips.

  • No lips fillers 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after your procedure.

Bruising will subside within 24 hours post-procedure.
